Technique with Pam Rutherford

  • 7:15pm - 8pm
  • Technique is THE primary thing that makes the different dances not only look different from each other, but allows you to perform the maximum amount of movement with the least amount of effort. When you see good dancers making it look easy, they have Ballroom technique. This class is divided into two parts; technique for the steps taught in the Bronze Rhythm and also the Bronze Smooth classes during the prior week. If you want to take your dancing to the highest level possible, these classes are for you!

  • This class is perfect for beginners to advanced dancers.

Silver American Rhythm and Smooth with Pam Rutherford

August - Waltz

  • 7:15 - 8pm
  • Learn the Silver steps in Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, Bolero, Mambo, Waltz, Tango, Fox Trot and Viennese Waltz. Each month we'll dive deeply into one particular dance.
  • No partner required
  • This class is designed for advanced dancers who are very comfortable with their Bronze basics. The basics and Bronze steps WILL NOT be taught.

  • Learn several of the steps in the Fred Astaire Social Bronze Syllabus in a routine format along with Jonah's perspective on the dance, giving instruction in styling and technique that can then be used in any social or competitive situation.
  • This class is perfect for beginners to advanced dancers.

WEDNESDAYS

Discover Ballroom - The Right Way To Get Started with Kelley Kennon

  • 6:15 - 7pm
  • Learn the first 3 basic steps contained in the Fred Astaire Social Bronze Syllabus for Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Waltz, Tango and Foxtrot.
  • This is an ongoing class that randomly rotates between these 6 dances. It has no beginning and no end. This is the perfect group class for beginners that will teach you to have fun dancing and feel comfortable to get up and dance at any social dancing event.
  • Learning to dance correctly from the beginning is very important. When you learn from the Fred Astaire syllabus as opposed to someone just teaching you a mish-mash of steps, you reduce the amount of time and money spent to learn to dance and, even more importantly, you learn to dance properly with no BAD HABITS.  Learning from our syllabus gives you the ABC's of dancing.
  • No partner or experience required
  • This class is designed for new dancers and those who wish to brush up on their basics.
TUESDAYS

Ballroom Workout with Kelley Kennon   -   Your first class is FREE!

  • 6pm - 6:45pm
  • Dancing since she was 3 years old, experience as a professional personal trainer and possessing a university degree in dance education that includes movement and exercise, Kelley combines Ballroom steps and elements into a low impact cardio workout. This class is designed to be a workout that's different than the regular old workouts like running and pumping iron. The fast, aerobic pace and repetitive nature of this class is helpful for beginner dancers looking to perfect their basic steps and great for advanced dancers trying to perfect their fundamental techniques while at the same time giving you an incredible workout. Get a great workout and have tons of fun at the same time!

Bronze American Rhythm with Pam Rutherford

August & September- West Coast Swing

  • 7:15pm - 8pm
  • Learn the steps in Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, Bolero, Mambo, West Coast Swing, Merengue, Samba and Paso Doble. Each month we'll dive deeply into one particular dance.

  • This class is perfect for beginners to advanced dancers.
THURSDAYS

Practice Party with Pam Rutherford, Kelley Kennon and Chaz Czinder

  • 8:15pm - 9pm
  • This is the 3rd method in the Fred Astaire Trophy System. These parties allow you to practice not only with others from your group lessons in a safe, controlled dance party atmosphere, but also with an instructor that is available to answer questions. This is a practice, not a lesson. Have fun and gain the maximum amount of confidence needed to dance at our monthly Social Dances and at any event outside of our studio!
